Christmas/New Year's Schedule

Christmas Eve Services (Monday December 24)

4:00 pm Family & Children Service.
This service is geared to families with children.  The children gather at the front of the church for the sermon, which is geared to them.  Children are also invited to gather around the altar during the communion prayers.  The service is shorter than usual and more casual.  There are lots of kids (and some noise)

8:00 pm Traditional Christmas Eve Service
This is the more formal Christmas Eve Service.  The choir sings, the traditional readings are read, we dim the lights and sing Silent Night at the end of communion.  If you are looking for a more traditional service, this is it.

Christmas Day Service (Tuesday December 25)
Deacon Leann will lead the 9 am Christmas morning service.  This service is quiet and casual.  Wear your pj’s if you like and bring your favorite Christmas present to share.

Sunday December 30
8 am is the usual Rite I (older language) communion service, just like every Sunday.

10 am is Christmas Lessons and Carols.  This service is an Anglican tradition.  There is no communion or sermon in this service.  It is readings from Scripture and Christmas carols sung by everyone beginning and ending with traditional prayers.
